New: QuickBooks Online

Print checks that land in your QuickBooks register.

Connect QuickBooks Online once. Every check you print in SimpleChex is recorded in QuickBooks with the same number, payee, amount, memo and category, so you're not typing it twice. Bill payments you enter in QuickBooks can be printed here, with a stub listing the bills paid.

How it works

  1. 1
    Connect QuickBooks
On your business page, click Connect QuickBooks and sign in to Intuit. Pick the company that matches the business.
  2. 2
    Match your bank account
Choose which QuickBooks bank account each SimpleChex bank account posts to, and a default category.
  3. 3
    Print as usual
Write and print checks the way you already do. Each one is sent to QuickBooks as a check in that bank register.
  4. 4
    Keep them in step
Edit a memo or void a check in SimpleChex and QuickBooks is updated too. Checks already written in QuickBooks show in your check history, so numbers don't collide.

What you get

No double entry
Payee, amount, memo, check number and category go to QuickBooks automatically.
Bill payments with a stub
Pay bills in QuickBooks, then print the check here. The stub lists each bill, its date and the amount paid.
Categories remembered
Pick a category once for a payee and SimpleChex uses it next time.
Voids follow through
Void a check in SimpleChex and it is voided in QuickBooks as well.
Your numbering stays clean
Checks written directly in QuickBooks are pulled in, so SimpleChex skips their numbers.
One login per firm
On Firm, connect each client business to its own QuickBooks company.

Frequently asked

Which plans include QuickBooks?
Solo ($5/month) and Firm ($19/month for up to 10 businesses). The Free plan doesn't include the QuickBooks connection.
Does it work with QuickBooks Desktop?
No. The connection is for QuickBooks Online. For QuickBooks payroll PDFs from any version, use the payroll PDF import instead.
Will it create duplicate checks in QuickBooks?
No. Before sending a check, SimpleChex looks for the same check number already in that QuickBooks bank account. If it's there and matches, the two are linked instead of duplicated. If the amounts differ, SimpleChex flags it for you rather than guessing.
How far back does it look in QuickBooks?
It reads checks from the last 90 days so your numbering stays clear. It only sends checks you print in SimpleChex after you connect.
Can I disconnect?
Yes, any time, from the business page. Nothing already in QuickBooks is changed or deleted when you disconnect.
