Email a check. They print it and deposit it.

How an emailed check works
1
Write the check
Same as a paper check: payee, amount, memo, signature.
2
Click Save & Email
SimpleChex emails the recipient the check as a PDF. You'll see it marked as sent in your check history.
3
They print and deposit
The recipient prints on plain paper (or check stock) and deposits by mobile app, ATM or at the branch.
4
They can verify it
Every emailed check links to a verification page showing that the check was issued through SimpleChex, so the recipient isn't left guessing.
Same-day payment
No mail delay. Useful for contractors, refunds and vendors who need payment today.
Two formats attached
A full check image for plain paper, and a data-only version for recipients who print on pre-printed blank stock.
Full audit trail
Sent, printed, voided and reprinted events are logged on each check.
Set up in minutes
Add your bank and a payee once. After that, sending a check takes a few clicks.
Frequently asked
Is an emailed check the same as ACH?
No. An emailed check is a real check delivered as a PDF; the recipient prints and deposits it. Funds move through the normal check-clearing process, not ACH.
How does the recipient know it's not fraud?
Each emailed check includes a link to a SimpleChex verification page for that check. We also recommend recipients confirm unexpected checks with the sender directly.
Can the recipient deposit it with their phone?
Yes. Once printed, it deposits like any other check, including through mobile deposit apps.
Does it cost extra to email a check?
No. Emailing is included on every plan, including Free.
Pay someone by check in the next five minutes.
Free for one business and 10 checks a month.
