Is Free really free forever?+
Yes. Free is the entry point of the product, not a trial. You can run 1 business and write up to 10 checks per calendar month forever. No card on file, no expiry. Upgrade only when you outgrow it.
When should I upgrade to Solo ($5)?+
When you write more than 10 checks in a month for the same business. Solo lifts the check cap to unlimited — everything else is the same as Free.
When should I upgrade to Firm ($19)?+
When you need to manage more than 1 business OR invite a teammate. Firm adds up to 10 businesses ($2/mo for each additional one) and unlimited team members.
What happens at business #11 on Firm?+
Your subscription auto-adjusts to $21/month (the $2 is prorated to the current billing period). Same for #12 ($23/mo), #13, and so on. No reauthorization needed.
Can I switch between plans?+
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade in one click from Settings → Billing. Switches are prorated. To downgrade Firm → Solo or Free, you may need to delete businesses or team members first.
Can I cancel?+
Yes — cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. You drop back to the Free plan; past checks and PDFs stay accessible.
Do banks accept SimpleChex checks?+
Yes. Every plan (including Free) prints the real MICR E-13B magnetic font that bank scanners require. We've tested with Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, and a number of regional banks.
